About

I’ve always been curious about how people approach their lives and how they use the assortment of gifts they’re given.I have consistently jumped at the opportunity to try new experiences, and to learn from others the story of their lives and how they’ve overcome challenges. The life I’ve experienced predisposed me to pursue spiritual inquiry as a way to make sense of the world.
As long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with the idea of right livelihood and life purpose, aware of the warning to “Avoid becoming good at something you don’t want to do for the rest of your life.” Vietnamese Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh wrote, “To practice Right Livelihood (samyag ajiva), you have to find a way to earn your living without transgressing your ideals of love and compassion. The way you support yourself can be an expression of your deepest self, or it can be a source of suffering for you and others.” Often easier said than done.
Most of us operate out of a sense of survival and feel like pursuing what we feel is our calling is an impractical luxury. And yet when we’re not sharing our gifts or following the path we came here for, that sense of disconnect will inevitably express itself in life and health challenges that will escalate as needed to get our attention.
Along my path of survival and exploration, I’ve worked on a gas station in France, a kibbutz in Israel, a hog farm in Northern Illinois and a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin. I’ve done all aspects of food service and have done personal home care. On the business side, I’ve done project management, business analysis, process improvement, marketing, finance, accounting and worked in software development for companies across multiple industries, from start-ups to companies like Ryder, Hallmark, Harvard and Fidelity. In my life, I am a writer, artist, musician and open-water rower.
I always found the work in organizations interesting, but the environments profoundly dysfunctional and soul-crushing. And, as time went on, I felt increasingly compelled to call the intuitive information I was getting for matters both business and personal by its right name. Finally, the pain of being an empath in this world forced me to acknowledge the possibility of a different calling, and led me down a parallel path of intensive study of spirituality, metaphysics, energy healing, and meditation with an intense desire to understand why we’re on this earth and how we’re to express the gifts we’ve been given.
This practice allows me to share what I have learned along the way. Because of my life path, I feel great affinity with writers, artists, musicians and athletes, those who feel their calling in business and technology, and those who feel called to teach, regardless of venue. In addition to native intuitive abilities and studies in several energy healing modalities, I am formally trained as an Akashic Records Master Healer in the compassionate witnessing lineage of Brynne Dippell.
